Little Monsters is a British animated children's cartoon, which ran from 1998 on BBC1 Plymouth and CBBC, then repeats on CiTV in 2001, being co-produced by Collingwood O'Hare, Ealing Studios, Contender Entertainment Group and Pacifier Pictures Limited (a joint venture between Flicks Films, VGi Entertainment, CBBC and GMTV). The show was based on the books of the same name by Tony Garth, focusing its central attention on different mischievous and/or eccentric children, each of them with their own unique, entertaining flaws (or, 'little monsters'). It was shown repeatedly on CiTV in 2001. The series has 52 episodes.
Different Languages[]
Little Monsters was also translated into Gaelic, known as 'Na Bleigeardan'. In France, it was broadcast by TF1, under the title 'Petites Crapules'. In Germany, it was broadcast by Super RTL as 'Kleine Monsters'. In Italy, it was broadcast by RAI2 and RAI1 as 'Adorabili Pesti'. In Portugal, it was broadcast by TVI as 'Os Traquinas'.

In 2010, the programme was also broadcast in Spain, South Africa, Israel, the Middle East, Singapore, China, South Korea, Japan, and Latin Europe. The Gaelic version originally aired on BBC One Scotland, from 5th January 2001 - 2nd April 2001, repeated from September - November 2001 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It then aired on BBC Two Scotland and BBC Alba. The rights to the series are still owned and controlled by Russell Neale Dever, in collaboration with Ian Harding. The distribution rights are controlled by Foothill Entertainment, Santa Barbara, United States. The show aired in Australia on the ABC in 2000.
